What do I need to provide to order?
Just the plan, the term and the app name. You enter your code address after payment, in the customer portal: you can use a GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket repository, and for a private one you only add a read-only key.
When does my app start?
After a successful card payment your app is created in the customer portal within seconds. Publishing your code is then a single click; the build and start take a few minutes, depending on its size.
Which Node.js version can I run?
The currently supported 26 (LTS), 24 and 22 lines. You pick the version per app and can change it later. We do not offer releases that are no longer supported, such as the 20 line.
Do I get HTTPS and my own domain?
Every app gets an address under montaviogroup.com, and depending on the plan you can connect 2, 5 or 10 of your own domains. The system issues and renews the certificate.
Is there a database?
Yes, the plans include 1, 2 or 5 MariaDB databases. You create them in the customer portal, we show the connection details once, and phpMyAdmin opens with one click.
What if I deploy a faulty version?
In the customer portal you can roll back to the previous release. We keep the last few versions, so a rollback does not need a new build from your repository. You can read the logs there too.
How do I pay, and what happens at expiry?
You pay by card for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months in advance. We send a reminder before expiry and you can renew by card from the customer portal. If it expires, the app stops after a short grace period, and we do not delete your data immediately.
When is web hosting or a VPS the better choice?
For PHP sites, WordPress and WooCommerce, web hosting is simpler. If you need full server access, your own packages, Docker or any service, a VPS is a good choice. Node.js hosting sits between the two: you focus on the code and we handle operations.
