Updated:
1. Provider and scope
Hosting and domain registration services are provided by MONTAVIO GROUP (PIB: 115679201, MB: 68549396). Contact: [email protected]. This page describes payment for hosting plans and domains ordered through the customer portal. Custom development and separately quoted services are governed by the payment terms in the accepted proposal or contract.
2. Prices, billing periods and orders
Before you confirm, the order summary shows your plan, monthly or annual billing period, separate domain fee, applicable discount, payment currency, total and payment method. Hungarian checkout uses HUF; English checkout uses USD, calculated from the server’s dated ECB HUF/USD reference rate. The selected rate and converted item amounts are saved with the order and do not change when you retry payment. You can check the final amount before confirming payment; for card payments, also review the details in Paddle Checkout. The hosting period begins on activation.
With a 12-month paid hosting order, first-year registration of one standard .hu domain is free. Other supported standard extensions receive a 5% discount up to a registration fee of HUF 3,000 and 10% above that threshold. USD prices use the order’s quoted conversion rate. Full eligibility conditions are set out in the Terms of service.
Free hosting has no hosting payment obligation or domain discount and requires approval. A paid order creates an obligation to pay, but service activation is subject to payment confirmation and the required technical checks. Failed or pending payments are not treated as completed payments.
3. Bank transfer
If bank transfer is offered and selected, you receive the payment details and reference for that particular order after ordering. Always use those details. Transfer processing and reconciliation are not immediate; hosting setup begins after payment is checked and approved. Your payment provider may charge bank or currency conversion fees.
4. Card payments and Paddle
Card payments are handled in Paddle Checkout. For Paddle transactions, Paddle acts as merchant of record and handles payment, applicable taxes and the transaction receipt under its buyer terms. Paddle Checkout and the confirmation identify the contracting Paddle entity and the amount payable. Montavio is responsible for providing and supporting the hosting service under its own terms.
You enter card details on Paddle’s interface. Montavio does not request or store full card numbers or security codes. We check payment status against Paddle’s confirmation and treat payment as complete only after successful server-side verification. Paddle’s privacy notice applies to its processing of data.
5. Domain payment and commencement of fulfilment
Domains can be ordered only by card. When hosting is ordered with a domain, both services appear as separate items in one card transaction. The annual hosting domain discount is shown as a separate deduction. Domain availability and pricing are checked again before payment begins.
Technical domain registration begins after successful payment. By ordering, you expressly request that Montavio begin fulfilment before the consumer withdrawal period ends. Starting or completing registration may affect withdrawal rights under applicable mandatory consumer protection rules. This does not affect mandatory rights relating to defective or unfulfilled services.
6. One-time payment and automatic renewal
A one-time card payment or bank transfer does not by itself authorize automatic charges. Automatic renewal is established only when you select it separately and expressly authorize the displayed amount and frequency. Paddle may then charge monthly or annually as selected until cancellation. The current subscription status is available in the customer portal.
For a plan change linked to an active Paddle subscription, we show the next charge and expected date separately and update the subscription only after your explicit approval. The new plan takes effect on the next successful renewal; your already paid plan remains available until then.
Automatic renewal can be cancelled in the hosting plan controls. Cancellation prevents the next renewal charge; the already paid period remains available under the applicable terms. Paddle’s customer portal linked in its confirmation email may also be used. Check the next billing date before cancelling, because charges already initiated are subject to the refund rules.
7. Receipts, failed payments and refunds
Paddle provides the payment receipt and handles the transaction’s tax treatment for Paddle payments. For bank transfers, order-related documents are made available through the customer portal or a separate notice under the applicable rules. Contact us promptly if billing details are incorrect. Changes to a Paddle transaction receipt are also subject to Paddle’s rules.
If payment cannot be verified, activation may be delayed or may not proceed. For duplicate charges, incorrect amounts or unfulfilled services, contact us with the order reference. Payment and refund requests for Paddle transactions may also be submitted to Paddle buyer support. Refunds, withdrawal and mandatory consumer rights are governed by applicable law, the payment method and, for Paddle transactions, Paddle’s buyer terms. Nothing on this page excludes rights that must be provided under applicable law.
