In brief
Use the score as a troubleshooting signal. The goal is accessible, understandable and useful content.
What does an automated audit show?
Tools can check titles, links, indexing settings and speed. These are necessary technical checks, but do not replace content assessment.
A fix is meaningful only if applied to the correct page and the expected state is actually visible to users and search engines. Check the rendered page too.
The question and search intent
State which question each important page answers. Someone preparing to request a quote needs different information from someone troubleshooting a configuration issue.
A service page should present the offer and its terms. An expert article should explain the subject and help readers decide. Connect them with a relevant internal link.
What should you measure?
Search Console shows impressions, clicks and search queries. To evaluate business impact, also track enquiries and other real outcomes.
Compare similar periods and the same groups of pages. Seasonality, campaigns or changes to your offering can also affect traffic. Do not attribute every difference to SEO.
Updating content
Update the article to reflect real changes, and change its modified date only for substantive edits. Sources and verifiable examples matter more than an artificial word count.
SEO does not guarantee rankings. Technical foundations, substantive content and consistent measurement work together to support improvement.
- Check the live URL: status code, indexability and canonical URL.
- Record a baseline: date, affected page and a reproducible test.
- Measure again after the change: also test important user actions.
